Palin to Drop Puck at Rangers-Flyers Game. Will Be Booed.

Sarah Palin will drop the opening puck for the Flyers season opener on Saturday.

I'm sure this will go over well in a Democratic city with the politest sports fans in the country.

I've been watching this video of Destiny's Child being booed during the 2001 NBA Finals to prepare myself.

Palin's self-referential comment that "the heels are off, the gloves are off" has led me to the following conclusion:

Palin:heels :: Frodo:The Ring

I dont think so. Flyers fans are the white, working class people Palin actually appeals to. One of the reasons Philly is Democratic is because it is half black. Blacks don't watch the Flyers.

This is Education Dude ... I think "anonymous" has a point, although the caucasian population of Philly is strongly working-class and union. Still, those folks probably aren't going to hockey games, the Flyers tend to attract wealthier, suburban folks. This one's a tough call ...

listening to 610-WIP, sports radio here in Philadelphia, its clear that a majority of the callers are excited to have her in attendance this weekend...

on the other hand, its been made public that the Obama campaign reached out to the Phillies organization to offer his services to throw out the first pitch for Game 2 of the NLCS... services that the Phillies denied.
